Marin Spivack shows a method of parry, entry to throw using a Chuan Zhang (peircing palm) entry. Other elements of the action are combinations of "ye ma fen zong" (part wild hors'es mane) changing to "bai he liang chi" (white crane cools its wings). The white crane element is rather understated since if it was actually applied the larger opponent, Tim O'keefe, would not be able to be caught and the wood floor is not so forgiving with this kind of throw. This is unrehearsed and spontaneous, yet a controlled demonstration of methods to explore.
